Jacob West is one of our guitar tutors.

Jacob has been playing guitar since he was 10 and also has experience in cello. He has been attending the Raroa Music Centre since he was 2 years old! Currently Jacob is in his last year at Onslow College and is taking music as one of his subjects with a view to continuing at University in the near future.

Jacob achieves a lot of Excellences in performance guitar because he's very committed and practices like a madman every day. His main influences are Eddie Van Halen, Vito Bratta, Justin Hawkins and Buckethead. He mainly listens to, and plays, 1980's metal and guitar virtuoso artists. He is currently playing in a band called The Onset (which you will have heard about?) that has started to develop an enviable following. The band plays a new age Pendulum kind of style. In Jacob's spare time, he empties the dishwashing machine and enjoys hanging out with his friends or mountain biking, well..... when he's not playing guitar!
