Vincent Hardaker - Orchestra and Theory Tutor
Vincent Hardaker is our Orchestra, Composiiton & Theory tutor. Vincent is a 19 year old student with a passion for music and culture in general. Over the past year he has been in Christchurch studying German as his major in his BA, but he has now decided to concentrate entirely on music. He has played the trumpet since he was ten, and the viola since he was only four years old. Vincent also has some piano experience under his belt and has studied conducting for two years. During his studies as a conductor he has taken the Burnside High School Junior Concert Band and the Senior Symphonic Band. As a combined group they participated in the 2009 Christchurch Concert Band Competitions and gained a silver placing. In 2010 he has also had two young trumpet students. Since the beginning of high school Vincent has been a part of orchestras, for example, the Burnside High School Orchestra and the Christchurch Youth Orchestra on both trumpet and viola. Vincent's future aspiration is to study conducting overseas and hopefully, some day, to lead or create a wonderful orchestra!
