How to Enrol - First Time Students
First Time Students - How to enrol
Enrolment is open until Wednesday, 8th February 2012.
Check out the classes
Check out “The Classes We Offer” and choose what you want to learn in 2012. Decide if you want to hire an instrument.
Check out the “Class Fees for 2012” to see what you will have to pay for:
-
The centre fee
-
The instrument hire fee
-
The keyboard or drum fee
-
The suggested koha (or donation).
Check out the Timetable and Skill Level
Check the “Skill Level” guidelines to make sure you are choosing a class at the right skill level. If you are not sure enrol in a beginner class and make a note in your enrolment form, so the teacher can assess you at the first lesson and move you to a higher level class if need be.
Log onto our on-line registration system.
The registration process has two steps – first, you register as a family/student, and then you choose your class for each student in the family and hire an instrument if needed.
- Register as a student(s) – and don’t forget to fill in the parents’ details. Don’t forget to tell us how you can help out at Raroa Music Centre.
- Book the class that you want to enrol in. Note that the registration system will only show you classes at the right age for your child. If a class is already full, it won’t show that class time to you, and you will have to choose another class.
- Confirm your registration. At this stage you will be given a User ID and password so you can log on at any time and check your registration. Make a note of this.
- If you don’t need to hire an instrument you can Make A Payment at this stage, and then you are finished enrolling.
- If you need to hire an instrument then you need to log on with your User ID and password. Once you’ve logged on you will see a summary screen which tells you the class you have booked. Go to Tasks/Purchase Fees to select the instrument you wish to hire. Then go to Tasks/Make A Payment to pay and finish your enrolment.
We prefer that you pay by Internet banking or cheque
You can pay by:
Internet Banking: remember to insert identifier (parent username) in the particulars field.
Cheque: post with payment form to Raroa Music Centre, 38 Garden Road, Northland, Wellington 6012
Cash: pay in the Raroa Hall on the first day of classes, 18 February 2012. You must print out the payment form from your enrolment and bring it with you.
Please note that it takes us a few weeks to reconcile payments so the online enrolment system will continue to say that you owe money until we have done the reconciliation.
Checking or changing your enrolment
You can use your own log-in and password to check your enrolment at any time. The Home page of the on-line registrations site will show you the class you have booked and the fee owing if you have booked a hire instrument. You will not receive any other notification from Raroa Music Centre unless there is a problem with your enrolment.
Start your class on Saturday 18 February, 2012
If you are hiring a cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone or trumpet – it will be given out on the first day of classes, Saturday 18 February and you will be asked to sign for it.
Check the Class Timetable again before 18th February to make sure your class time hasn’t changed and to see which classroom to go to and who the teacher is. There is a map of Raroa Intermediate School on the website to help you find your classroom. There will be notices up around the school on the first day and people to help you find the right room.
