ABOUT US

Rāroa Music Centre (RMC) is a music initiative through the Ministry of Education aimed for primary school (Year 1 - 8) students aged 5-12 years old and offers tuition in 12 different instruments, including orchestra, from beginner to advanced level - cello, clarinet, drums, flute, guitar, keyboard, music basics, orchestra, recorder, saxophone, ukulele, and violin. 

All lessons are held in groups with the students starting together at the beginning of the year. Our teachers and relievers are all police-vetted, established music teachers and professional musicians in the Greater Wellington Region. Classes are on Saturdays between 9am and 1:30pm at Raroa Normal Intermediate School, Haumia Street, Johnsonville.

RMC takes registrations at the beginning of each year and cannot grant mid-year acceptance or registration from pre-school or secondary school students.
